1st at-bat - 1st pitch - Grand Slam!

Daniel Nava of the Red Sox just did that - first at-bat of his career, and on the first pitch, hit a grand slam.

Has that EVER happened before??

Kevin Kouzmanoff is the only other player to do it.

Nava came up again for his second at bat and actually had the bases loaded AGAIN, but alas, he struck out. What a record THAT would've been if he had hit another one!

In addition to my comment on the Phillies, there have been 4 players in MLB history hit a GS on their first AB. Kevin Kouzmanoff also hit a GS on his first MLB pitch back in 2006

I was at the game today. Got a pic of him rounding the bases and returning to the dugout. I'll post them tomorrow
