i sold a card that ended june 5th.on june 10 i email the person to say im sorry i cant find my cards at this time because i had just moved.all my stuff is in storage .they respond saying they will wait till i find them.then say the card sold for less than expected that they will pay for card and i need to ship or they will leave neg feedback.the card is a michael jordan 1995 topps show stoppers psa 7.i dont know book value for it ,so i dont know what it should sell for.by the way they live in australia and all my auctions say ship to us only.can i fight neg feedback if left?

How did you provide a scan for the auction?

Why would you sell cards while moving and cards are all packed up? You really don't know where the card is?

As a seller I would have put my store on vacation setting while moving or just waited until the move was over before listing stuff.

  • The buyer still should not have bid without approval if the listing said no outside US sales.

The buyer is an "unwelcome bidder," under EBAY TOS.

If you call EBAY they will tell you how to cancel the sale.

If the buyer leaves a NEG, EBAY will remove it.

IF you ship the card - and the buyer leaves a NEG - EBAY
    will NOT remove the NEG.

Tell the buyer to pound sand. You ship only to the US.
    Good for you.

The buyer also lived in Australia when you sold the card on June 5th. It's funny that for 5 days being from Australia wasn't an issue. You told him the reason you couldn't ship the cards was you couldn't find them, not that he was from Australia and you don't ship outside the US. Now to fight the neg you very much earned you're going to try to say it's his fault. At what point will you refund his money.
  • i didnt pay much attention to their location because i didnt expect an international bidder.plus they never payed for the card either.they were were not offering more money just the bid.
  • my job gave me a great oppertunity to relocate.wasnt planned.
  • thats the best advise ive heard all day!!!!!!
  • FWIW, I think you need to set this on your eBay "template" by selecting no international bidders. I would not put it only in the text.

Anyone that is on ebay and sends a message stating, " I will neg you unless...........(fill in the blank)" is trouble.

Granted, you may not have had no international bidders on the template, but IMO, it is the responsibility of the buyer to read the entire listing, just as it is the sellers responsibility to also follow what is in the listing. The bid should have never been made and the buyer is a DB for suggesting the "neg unless" theme.
