Ebay Gripe -Bid retraction- Anyone else have this happen?

Hello everyone:

I just needed to vent a little as I have listed a purple Strasburg refractor on ebay and had a bidder cancel their bid with the reason being that "Seller changed the description of the item". As you can see from my auction, I did no such thing, in fact I made no revisions to the auction at all. If a bidder wants to cancel a bid, I'm fine with that, but to flat out lie about the reason behind the retraction I do have a problem with. Anyway, this bidder has been added to my blocked bidder list and I am now glad that I do not have to deal with him. I checked out his most recent bid history and saw he won 2 other Strasburg purple refractors. Hopefully those sellers will see their money. Thanks for letting me get this out. Oh - How does ebay allow this to happen when it clearly shows no revisions were made?

    Perhaps he blew his budget? eBay doesn't allow a lot of options for retracting a bid.

    Usually the one I see as a seller is "entered wrong amount".

    I guess it doesn't really matter to me what reason the bidder gives when it happens. If they don't want to bid on my item anymore, not much I can do about it. I would certainly rather they retract the bid before the auction ends than win it and not pay for it!!

    What really ticks me off about the bid retractions if the bidder has low feedback and bids like 5 or 6 times just to see what the high bidder's maximum bid is? then the high bidder sees this and cancels his bid thinking he is being shilled. I have had this happen twice in the last month, along with 4 NPB ers.

    oh well my BBL just grows bigger and bigger.
