Jewelers Loupe

I have been reading alot of places that it's best to use a jeweler's loupe to look closely at the condition of cards as well as to spot fake/altered cards.

What type of loupe do you recommend? Is a 10x the best magnification for looking at cards? Any particular brand work best?

    any 10x loupe will work. You just have to know what you are looking forimage

    I use an old one when I worked for a CD manufacturer/printer. Not sure what the magnification is....I think it's 6 billion

    More than 40-years old, but it still works well.
