My evening with Danica (and several others from IRL)

I have to say that the IRL knows how to put on an autograph signing. This was by far one of the fan friendliest events that I’ve been too. My son was through with his exams (6th grade), so I checked him out of school early on Thursday, and he and I headed up to Northpark Mall in Dallas, TX. My son doesn’t care for sports of any types, but he especially likes it when I check him out of school to do things . We ate at his favorite restaurant on the way up there, on the way back, and he spent some of the waiting time at the Gamestop in the mall while I was in line. He was happy to get a new video game out of the day and I was happy to get the extra autographs that he helped me with. The IRL was having a signing starting at 6:00 PM and I wanted to get their early, to help insure that I’d get a Danica Patrick autograph. We got up there about 2:20 and were already about 30th in line. By 6:00, the line was huge and I was happy we got there early as not everyone ended up being accommodated as their were 4 different tables of drivers and you had to choose the lines to go through within a one hour time frame. Everybody stood in Danica’s line for the most part, so some people got left out, but they easily could have seen that within the first 15 minutes and they could have moved to another line. My son and I made it through Danica’s line first and then moved to Helio Castroneves’ line. We cleaned up on autographs and basically got two signatures from everyone, only one of each scanned below except for Danica where both are shown.
Here’s a video of Danica signing for both me and my son, and later in the video is Helio signing for us. (special thanks to John AKA ahmanfan for helping out with the video, I actually have video of everyone below signing, but am just posting Danica and Helio). My son got the image of her in the drivers suit signed, and I got the image of her sitting in the car with the open top. We had heard that at times she is not too fan friendly, but as you see in the video, when my son handed her the 20 x 30 upside down, she turned it around and fixed it, he was being really shy so she kidded him about it right before the video starts. When I handed her the sexy shot of her, she smiled and set it in front of her and said “Wow, nice shot!" I have to say, she was pretty yummy, very small lady, very attractive. I’m not a big racing fan myself, but I do like Danica. The pics don't do the 20x30's justice, they look really good in person.
