Ebay advice

I sold a coin last sunday in an auction on ebay. Its been 6 days, high bidder has not paid nor has he replied to emails I have sent. At what point can I offer it to the underbidder via a second chance offer?

After you open and close the unpaid item dispute and complete the going through those motions.

Get his phone number via e-bay and call him. Works wonders.

File the dispute and send him a message that you did so to recoup your fees. Opening the dispute sometimes motivates buyers to pay. Can't really re-sell the coin until it is clear the buyer is not going to pay.

4 days after you open a unpay claim. Most people don't take second offer. I just re-list it or keep it.

I filed it yesterday, I notice he has gotten positive feedbacks for items he won after mine, so he just obviously is having buyers remorse and is ignoring me. All his feedbacks are for $20-$30 items and the coin he won from me was $400. Just a big waste of my time. Luckily it doesnt happen very often.

That's the problem with e-bay. They don't care that you got screwed with the time value of money + the aggravation of having a coin tied up for 2-3 weeks, when it should have been sold.

Buyers still have the upper hand. They can back out of a closed deal with absolutely no negative ramifications.

why i dont sell on ebay. and im not a fan of buying anymore either, its not worth it dealing with attitudes and know it alls
