A few scans from my '76 Topps vending rip...

Got a good price from Grote15 on hits '76 Topps Baseball vending box (which he got from BBCE). Unfortunately many cards had some corner dings, but one card could help recoup a good part of my cost. The Fisk is a pop 3 or 4 in PSA 10, and I think this one has a great chance...it's stunning. Some nice team cards and other commons. Only gradeable star other than Fisk is the Carew (8 or 9 with the right grader). I did not get an Eck or Brett, but got Reggie, Nolan, Schmidt and some other stars...just not in great shape. Overall a big rush. Sending the Fisk in this month, so wish me luck! And if anyone has insight on whether the centering from some will keep them out of 9 slabs let me know - I don't want to sub '8' commons if possible.

Looking for rare Randy Moss rookies and autos, as well as '97 PMG Red Football cards for my set.

<< <i>The Reggie looks great unless that upper left corner is soft. Nice Fisk! >>
Sadly, the otherwise great Reggie has a funky left chip thing going on
<< <i>That is a very pretty Fisk.
That's something I just never hear......

<< <i>Nice Fisk and Jackson!! Get those in a holder ASAP!!
Oh - the Fisk will be. It is a true beauty - and hopefully my bacon-saver here since most the 9-quality cards are barely worth the sub fee. The Jackson with the edge issue isn't worth the sub fee I don't think. I might do better raw and detailing the issue.

Thanks for watching. Hope you enjoyed!!
- I would encourage all collectors to post a video of their collection - I have found it to be a very rewarding way to share my sports cards!!
Glad to hear you enjoyed the box! Some very nice cards there! I will keep my fingers crossed on the Fisk for you....a Gem Mint 10 of that card would be SWEEET!!

That it would - hoping it can '10' out the first time. Are vending usually this tough? They really cram those things in there. I will certainly do a followup post when I get the Fisk and Carew back (others I may wait until a cheaper special comes).
And Carew is so thin. Funny how these guys succeeded without all the "enhancements" later players needed (or thought they needed).

You're right, some of the damage to vending cards comes from how tightly they were packed. And maybe 50 cards in each box will be damaged from being at the ends of the box. And the ridge pattern they were packed with (as opposed to a smooth flush row of cards) leaves bunches of them prone to corner dings if even the slightest damage to the box occurs. Vending is fun, though, and if you hit a good, centered vending run, you can get some really great cards.
Good luck on the Fisk. Hard to tell from the scan, but it could pull a 10. The last one sold for 400.
