Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
Anything to do with soldiers and/or their families makes me immediately tear up. I had to send this to my family back in MN. My Dad and one of four brother are veterans like me, so I know they'll appreciate it, too.
Thanks for sharing the link. The music was a great addition to the video...
My son has been in the Marine Corps for 2 plus years and just went back to California from Ohio after a 1 month stay at home.
I doubt I'll see him again for over a year because he is going "you know where."
I love these videos.
If you want to help a service person (navy, air force, marine, coast guard or army) go to www.anysoldier.com and pick out a soldier.
Thanks

Thanks for sharing. My wife and I have a son at Westpoint and another who is a navy seal. When we see them on occasion , I realize that the hug goodbye , may be the last one. I ALWAYS tear up when I see them once again.
The video was very nice , as these type normally are. Its great to see hero's that are love and missed. There are MANY out there that find these type's of films worthless. We are not one of those people. I will post this up.---- Sonny

When I returned from a long year in the 1st Infantry Division in Vietnam, 3 other guys and I changed into civies to avoid the harrassment in the San Francisco area. We were just thankful to be going home, no more no less. It was a very, very different time then.
I'm glad the country treats its military proudly and with respect as they always should have...right or wrong the cause, those who went then, or who are there now had little choice but to go, their fate was sealed with destiny. May they all return home safely to a grateful nation and joyous homecoming.
Topps ... thank you for your service as well. I was a few years late for the draft (born '58) but had a few friends who served in 'Nam. You guys were also heroes!

<< <i>If you haven't done so already, this would be a perfect weekend to watch the movie 'Taking Chance'. IMDB >>
I'd highly recommend watching "Taking Chance". I viewed my son's copy and cried pretty much all the way through it. He bought me my own copy and I haven't even opened it yet. Today may be a good day to do that.
