Shipping from US to other countries

Sorry for another shipping question, but this isn't a flame heh
For shipping things outside of the US, I know you can't send something through USPS to say, Germany, with DC. But how do you ship things in a small bubble mailer weighing 6 ounces or so, with a value of less than $50? I want to make every sale I can, but also want to be protected. And I don't want to charge the buyer $30 or whatever just to send an insured package.
Can anyone help with a solution or suggestion on how I can be protected and yet make the shipping affordable for the buyer? Or how to be protected through Paypal, at least.

<< <i>Believe it or not, I have sold dozens of items outside of the US and have never had a problem. If the buyer has good feeback, its usually ok. Most honest sellers are also honest buyers. I worry more about buyers inside the US then I do from other countries >>
Just First Class from USPS without any DC and let it fly? And yes, assuming they have good feedback.
Can a seller request an international money order? Is there even such a thing? It's been so long that I've sold things out of the US that I don't even remember anymore.
Like MT said, Ive never had a problem either.
I have sold to a few countries, but mostly Japan and Canada. But I buy all the time from England Japan Germany etc. and have never had a problem except one time on a package that took 2 months to get here (Hawaii) from Venezuela.
