Terrible luck ripping this weekend

I planned on keeping the baseball 80's pack run sealed as a complete set.. but was bored.. so decided to rip it.. a complete wast of time.. i got zero HOFers.. the best card was prob doc gooden 89 upper deck or 85 topps boggs with a wax stain.. but i didn't stop there.. i went to the local card shop to pick up some gifts for my nephews.. one box of 2010 bowman baseball..$75 i managed to keep that one sealed and got it to my nephew before i did anything foolish.. the other box was 2009 SP football $100.. and i also picked up a 2008 topps chrome football box for myself $60.. the topps box was terrible.. the auto was a redemption card for someone i've never heard of.. no good refracotors.. and didn't even get any of the good base rookies.. the best card in the entire box was prob ray rice base card.... so feeling completely unsatisfied.. i couldn't resist the box of 2009 sp football.. the patch auto card was garbage.. forgot his name.. it was a rams offensive lineman.. with an ugly all gold patch.. the other auto was a nobody cb.. and the last one was Edelman.. the wr from the pats.. and i also didn't hit any of the good base rookies.. overall.. a complete waste of time and about 225 bucks. now i have to go back to the card shop next weekend to pick up a box to replace the one i opened this weekend.. hopefully i can get out of there without wasting more money..

    I got 3 of those 80's packs run and finished them up this weekend. I also meant to save a set but I failed. I did 'ok' with the lot, but I made a huge bozo maneuver. One of the best cards was an 82 Fleer Ripken rc. It was beautiful. It just had a slight little bit of extra cardboard on the top right corner. I attempted to fix that. Ha ! a little flinch with a razer blade and it was all over. Right top corner is now hacked. Lesson learned, don't ever attempt to remove a hanging chad off a card.

    This is the exact reason I only buy a pack or 2 nowadays unless there is something that I want to set build.

    The only boxes I have ropped in the past year were 75 minis (horrible) 3/4 of the box was officenter,miscuts,short cuts.My Aaron #660 and Ryan were not graded by PSA (would not fit holder).JUNK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    2 1984 Donruss 1 box outstading other box appeared to be miswraps.Fair at best few stars.

    I just plunked down $600 on 8 different football boxes from Blowout. I'll post scans if my tears don't fog up my scanner.

    The last boxed I ripped was a 2009 Topps Mayo. Best card is an Austin Collie auto. Maybe someone from Utah will pay crazy money for it?
