Holy Holy Holy ebay listing...

This seller totally turned me off from even thinking about purchasing the card from him. I am not saying I don't believe but come on why push it on me like that? I absolutely hate it when people push this stuff on other people.
Does anyone here have this card for sale so I don't have to deal with this psycho seller?

Guess they don't deserve salvation.
And check out the feedback this person leaves for others.
By looking at all the comments removed looks like eBay does not approve of this person using feedback in that way.

Trent waxing all Biblical on CU by quoting from the Gospel of Luke. Go get 'em tiger. How about lessons in Deuteronomy taught by Trent in 6 days? As with Burgundy's classes, I will be auditing.
whacko IMO
PS I just caught your title, good one

Don't like the message, then don't peruse the auction. He's entitled to run his auctions any way he sees fit. Getting ticked off about it doesn't hurt him, and doesn't help you.
and Dan, as far as no foreign sales are concerned, I'm sure he's talking about stinky Canadians. Can't trust that lot.

But in this case, the peruser of said doesn't have a chance, LOL..
Bottom line here is not his beliefs but his misuse of the ebay forum to preach such beliefs..

as far as against eBay policy, I can see why it might be (I don't know where to find that particular policy, and I ain't looking either), but if it is, and there have been multiple feedbacks removed, why is he still doing it, or allowed to?

Inappropriate or offensive opinions or comments about other eBay members.
Political views.
Public service announcements.
....................................
As far as I can recall, I don't think the words "religious statements" have ever
been listed in the "not allowed" schedule.
I am pretty sure that any complaints would result in the removal of listings that
pumped religion, regardless of whether the same are specifically prohibited.
Any prohibition - in practice or policy - would likely need to be content neutral, to
most easily be defended from litigious EBAY religionists with novel legal theories.
........................................
"Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh"
Meaning, "Peace be unto you and so may the mercy of Allah and His blessings,"
is used in thousands of listings being sold by one brand of religionists.
If that is allowed, EBAY might not want to get into a wasup fight with Christian
sellers about a contradictory policy.
Tho, Christian FB is often removed. And, I have not heard that the Allah stuff
is being removed from FB.

I used to be disgusted with sellers sending me their literature, but decided it
was easier to just throw it away than to get disgusted.

Update For Clarity:
FB Not Allowed......
"Political, religious, or social commentary rather than a genuine comment about the transaction."

Bless you Geordie, may Gods farts fill your sails where ever you may venture.
Through Craigslist, there was a Reverend Raven Smith who wanted to purchase a car I had for sale and have me ship it to West Africa. He wanted to pay by cashiers check and have his shipper make all the arrangements. That was my first exposure to this cashier's check scheme--he did not get me as I discovered during the transaction something is not right, but it did waste my time. And then there was this contractor with a Jesus slogan on his business card and pamphlet. He promised me one thing in the contract and then turned on it denying he ever promised it. He wrote the contract in ambiguous language that can mean either or. Pretty clever of him.
A lot of this Jesus stuff is a red flag. I just stay away from now on. In terms of ideology, I doubt it has anything to do with that, its mostly scam artists of the highest order dressing up as sheep.
Sure, you will find a few of these guys sending literature, but it does not mean they are devout believers. It could still be an act.
In case they are devout believers who really do uphold morals, I still rather not read their literature.
To this ebayer's credit, he has one guy that returned a card that was later determined to be fake by a grading company. He got his money back plus the fees for grading. That is honesty.

<< <i>much ado about nothing, imo, although calling him 'psycho' or 'whacko' is a bit extreme, no? Are all who believe as he does 'psycho' and 'whacko'? >>
The seller imo is a psycho/whacko. Especially when 95% of the auction description is gospel preaching and not about the item that is for sale. I get the vibe that if I were to meet this seller in person... The seller would be the type to shake me by my shoulders and scream "You are going to hell - You need to be saved"
<< <i>Don't like the message, then don't peruse the auction. He's entitled to run his auctions any way he sees fit. Getting ticked off about it doesn't hurt him, and doesn't help you. >>
If you fully read my first post where I specifically ask "Does anyone here have this card for sale" Wouldn't that be me not perusing the item from the holy roller seller?
I NEVER said I was ticked off or mad or upset. If you want... you could say I am a little annoyed being that is the only one on ebay. Obviously I am not buying from seller so I am waiting for another one to surface...
P.S. - Happy sunday
