Just a tad higher than VCP..............

Got no problem with people pricing their stuff at whatever they like, but methinks this may be - just perhaps, I'm sayin' - going a little too far.

VCP is $1488.12. High is $1700 +.

    That psa 9 '84 dickerson rookie for $95 isn't a bargain, either.

    While we're on this insane topic of people trying to sell $200 cards for $900.

    Can I actually search EBAY omitting such sellers as BMW and 707? The only reason I am asking this is that while it's their choice to price low end 64 Mantle's at like $600 in PSA 7....I feel it's my choice to not waste time viewing their auctions. image

    Actually, BMW has great cards just crazy prices.

    Seems like one of those cases where they don't really WANT to sell it, but they'll give it up for a premium. In this case, it's a SUPER premium...

    I like to call these types of sellers are cutting edge revolutionaries...ya know visionaries who pave the future of their domain.
    Now if everyone else who owns a PSA 9 Clemente jacked up their prices it'll become a reality when someone breaks down and pays.

    That same seller had a '60T Clemente PSA 9 priced a while back for even more than that. I want to say the BIN was 11K?

    At that kind of price, you're just using EBay as a showcase. He is obviously in no way serious about actually trying to sell the card.

    He has a few high valued cards for sale with some really high prices maybe he is thinking someone looking to move up in the register might be interested in the cards.

    I remember that '59 Clemente PSA 9, before VCP was around and tracking sales, selling for $4000-4500 routinely at auction. That was about 9-10 years ago, before some of the vintage Baseball market crash landed back to reality.

    Its a great card to own at around $1300-1500 .

    I actually like sellers like this. They help keep the impression that the top end is way up. That helps other sellers.

    I guess the sellers trying to prove that this card isn't scarce
    or that desireable in a PSA 10. I've never been able to figure out
    sellers who list multiples of the same card, in the same grade, at jacked up prices. Or in this case, in one inflated lot.

    As a buyer it would make me not want to buy that card or lot. It's seems like it's too common or easy to find when you see so many.

    Maybe the seller's trying to just show off what they own. Who knows?

    Top 10 reasons to consider buying the card.
    1. Free Shipping & insurance.
    2. Maybe the seller thinks that Clemente really signed the front of the card.
    3. it is the super rare red letter variation?
    4. He forgot to mention he is going to throw in the rest of 1959 Topps set with the Clemente.
    5. maybe he thinks it might bump to a Ten.
    6. He forgot to include the Best offer option, so it must be rare.
    7. He forgot to mention it is the rare blank back version.
    8. He really needs the money for brain surgery.
    9. He really needs the money to buy a better scanner.
    10. He is a member of the board and just wanted to get Ron riled up.

    I was going to buy the card until I noticed No Returns & he didn't include a scan of the back of the card.

    how about the ones that read the threads and comment on the message board idiots who have nothing better to do than complain about nothingness? Are they a step below idiot? Perhaps in the same category as the ridiculous BIN Idiots or BINiots as someone else coined.

    I emailed the guy about the YAZ and he is making an attempt to corner the market, he says he hopes his high price will lure others to offer him the other 10's at a fraction of the cost???????????????? I just don't get it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    That PostWar card was a $35 card at any show in 1989, and it hasnt got any rarer.
