how does this scratch/indent affect the grade.

This likely going in with Navarro sub. My hope is a 4 or better, but wasn't sure what this would do to grade. I know wrinkles lead to a 5, most creases lead to a 3 or worse. So I need thoughts.

I would not grade the card.
Just grade the auto.

Unfortunately you can't do that with Mike's sub. EVERY card will get authenticated or rejected. If authenticated the CARD will get a grade and be holdered in a RED Flip. I can understand Mike's point in doing this ... otherwise it would be a lot more work on his part.
EDITED TO ADD: That being said, you may want to wait until PSA/DNA has a special for grading the autos only.

<< <i>Maybe I am seeing it wrong, but it looks like there are 2 chunks of paper missing on the first pic. I don't know what paper loss grades at, but I don't think it will pull a 5. I am thinking along a 2 or 3 because of the paper loss. >>
Good eye Ted ... now that you mention it you can even see it on the second picture! This card would, IMO, NOT be a good one to send in on Mike's submission because even though the auto is real nice the grade will be terrible.

I was so fixated on the indents that I completely missed that. Thanks guys.
I have 3 rooney signed cards, all 3 of them have some issue. I sent that fleer and another one to him and both came back with a slighly larger indent, but doesn't have the paper loss. The 3 is a team logo checklist that he signed on the back (checklist), but looks like it was dropped as a corner has been partially dented. May have to find a 4th.
