Card Inventory Database

Can anyone recommend a database (preferrably freeware or home-grown) that they use to manage their collection? I had my collection catalogued a while back, but haven't been keeping up with it lately, so I know the information that I do have is virtually worthless. I'm looking for something that has easy to use forms that can easily handle both raw and graded entries as well as some basic reports.

Please let me know if you can point me in the right direction.

If you know a little VBA, writing macros in Excel should be a relatively easy thing to handle. Complete with forms and basic reporting.

What did you have in mind exactly?
If you have a rough idea of what you want, and can draw it on a piece of paper and scan/email it, then I might be able to help.
Or, if you prefer writing out what you want, that may work too.

I think most here will say they just use an Excel spreadsheet, and keep track of it manually.

I do the same, but I also download the "My_Inventory.csv" sheets from PSA, and update all of the population data of my graded cards that way. Hey, its easier than manually scrolling through My Inventory or Population Reports to get that information.

While I don't use it for that purpose, Microsoft Access is another viable option.

i have used access before, but i was able to import from the old beckett site.

inmysock and i are working on doing an update with the new beckett site to his program that he has been working on.
