What to rip? any basketball hidden gems?

Ordering from BBCE.

I know nothing of basketball cards after 1990. I'm looking to rip a good looking, not worthless box from 1991-1999. Any boxes from that time period give you good hits for the money?? Looking to spend no more than $60 per box.

Suggestions, please? Thanks in advance.

Probably one of the Topps Finest products from 94-99. Pick a year where you like the rookies. I like 96-97 but it's a little above your price threshold. Not only are there Kobe, Nash, Allen etc. rookies, but there are Gold and Silver series cards which are SP and carry a premium. But you also have refractor versions of all. If you came a upon a Nash/Kobe rookie refractor you're probably looking good. Those are long odds but it's not impossible. That's also a TOUGH set to put together because the silver and gold series are a pain in the ... I managed to finish it after 6-7 months a long time ago. There is one complete set on eBay and it is BIN for like $550.

I might have pulled the trigger on 96/97 Finest if BBCE had any in stock. Sounds like a fun gamble. image

This really brings up a question for me ..... Since Shaq cards came out in the middle of the mass - over production boom.,

which is the best Shaq card to own ? ? ?

I have pretty much every single Shaq card made....((non-auto))
    Buying:
Topps White Out (silver) letters Alex Gordon
80 Topps Greg Pryor “No Name"
    90 ProSet Dexter Manley error
90 Topps Jeff King Yellow back
    1958 Topps Pancho Herrera (no“a”)
81 Topps Art Howe (black smear above hat)
    91 D A. Hawkins BC-12 “Pitcher”

i think his 92 beam team card is his best.. that is kinda an insert though.. either the upper deck or hoops redemption would be my guess.. don't some of the inserts from the crap sets sell for good money.. i don't remember the set.. maybe fleer ultra.. some jordan insert from like 1994 was selling for a few hundred bucks in a psa 10
Scans of most of my Misc rookies can be found <a target=new class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://forums.collectors.com/m...y&keyword1=Non%20major">here
  • Besides any of his autos, his base card to own is the Upper Deck card in PSA 10. His insert card to own is the Beam Team then his Magic's All-Rookie Team.
