Multi-signed HOF ball - how does it affect value

Probably 25 years ago or so, I purchased a ball signed by HOFers at a 1973 Florida HOF dinner. The signatures include:

Earl Averill
Lloyd Waner
Edd Roush
George Kelly
Stanley Coveleski
Bob Feller
Raplh Kiner
Bill Terry
Lefty Gomez
Jocko Conlan
Billy Herman
Buck Leonard

I had it authenticated by JSA at the last Chantily show, and I'm trying to figure out a value for it. Obviously, PSA has prices listed for single-signed balls (with presumably strong signatures). But I'm trying to figure out how to equate those prices when they are all on the same ball.

Here are a couple of photos - as you can see the autos are light (pencil?). So, the value would be downgraded because of that, but I'm still wondering how much havingit multi-signed affects the overall value.

It's a nice ball, don't get me wrong, but the signatures on the ball don't really have any "connection" other than being HOFers and attendees at that particular function. In addition you have 12 of the most common baseball HOF autographs that there are. Therefore the desirability factor is not high.

I'll play "Antiques Roadshow" here and say if you were going to value it for insurance purposes around $300. However if you were to sell it at auction you'd probably be lucky to get your authentication fees back.

PS. Did JSA really identify the signature between Feller and Kiner as Lefty Gomez? Doesn't look right. Gomez had a nice clear beautiful signature. Looks a little more like Tom Gorman, not a HOFer but also not an exact match either. If it's Gorman it certainly doesn't help the value of the ball.

I had a ball with Mell Ott, Dizzy Dean, Charlie Gehringer, Frankie Frisch (sp?), Joe Medwick, Carl Hubbel and a few others (maybe Jimmie Foxx too?). Very clean and bold sigs with multiple hofers. Consigned to a big auction house and got like $600. Agree with first response - with no connection, value drops considerably. Had I known I would have kept the ball since it was cooler to have it than the money.

I may put it out on eBAY with a fixed price and see what happens, but I think I'll probably end up keeping it. I agree with Burke, I'd rather have the ball then just get my money back or make just a little.

I agree the Gomez looks a little different - it looks like he signed Vern instead of Lefty, although the V looks a little wierd.

MooseDog - thanks for the info..
