1969-1971 topps baseball proofs

An old collector showed me a 1970 dennis higgins proof card, pictured as a senator instead of an Indian. Does anybody have or has seen any of the other variations in that era, including the 1970 Danny Cater, 1971 V. Romo, 1971 Jerry Robertson or the 1969 Nottebart (pictured as a yankee)?

Did Keith O write the last two installments of that proof discussion? I'd love some more info about the 77s.

Does anyone have any pics of the 1970 or 1971 proofs? Would love to get a look. Thanks in advance.

The picture that illustrates the 1970 Topps Cloth Stickers test cards in the Standard Catalog of Baseball Cards shows the Senators version of the Dennis Higgins card.

The 66-card uncut 1/2 sheet of 1977 Topps proofs that includes the Reggie Jackson Orioles card sold for $17,500 in the April 8 Collect.com auction.

I "borrowed" a picture of the partial uncut sheet showing the Roof proof:

  • That is great, thanks for your follow up. Would like to know if anyone has seen the Cater proof in 1970 as an A. His regular issue card as a Yank shows him in a White Sox uniform , a team he had not been with since 1966.
