Will PCGS grade a (lightly) chopmarked coin?

I am considering the purchase of a very lightly chopmarked 8 Reales (only 2 small chops).
The coin grades XF and has no (other) problems.
This is a very important/expensive coin and I wanted to have it put in a PCGS holder.

Will they grade it, "genuine" it, or BB it? Should I bother submitting it?

They do grade 'chopped' Trade Dollars, but I would call/email CS and get it in writing.

Don't they only grade chopmarked US Trade Dollars? At one point someone told me that but it might have changed. Roman might know for sure.

Great question- consider posting a picture of the coin so we can see what it looks like

  • Genuine, code 98 - trust me. They told me otherwise to my face, but alas my 8Rs came back 98'd.

So it sounds like PCGS is not going to be an option. How about that other company? Do you think I will get any satisfaction over there?
