These were issued in baseball, and football in the late 90's. Anyone have much info on these? How often have you had one, seen one at a show, or anywhere. I have been dealing in sports cards since before then, and have never seen one in person. I purchased one this past weekend, and put it on line. The BV of this card is $80, I had a feeling it was low, and now tonight will find out how low. Anyone have experience buying or selling one of these?

    The last Thomas to sell was the 1997 variety for $288. Prices aren't as strong now, but it would still bring good money today.

    These cards have 1 gram of gold? 26 grams=1 ounce? The gold alone should have pretty good value, of course its probably not pure, but still.

    Yes, as I stated in my description, I calculated it at approx $39 value just in the gold alone if pure, I had been told it is .999 pure.

    The sell value of these cards dropped in the mid 00's but with the recent surge of gold and platinum, it's not just card collectors interested in them anymore. Great sets!
