Video games thread

So my wife is watching the Notebook and here I am on the computer again with nothing to do except tip back a cold ones (not altogether a bad thing
)... Anyway, I really don't have anything to talk about regarding cards but figured card collectors also collect video games. I was playing tecmo bowl today with my son (he is just old enough to START to challenge me on some of these games) and remembered back to my childhood about some of the super human strength these athletes had in these games. This came to mind when I ripped an 80-yrd td run with Bo Jackson
I also remember Buster Douglas got his own game after he knocked out Tyson in Japan. Of course, Mike Tyson was virtually unstoppable for Nintendo (but not to me--if you can survive the first 1:30 of uppercuts you have a chance). There were also some players on NBA Jam like Shawn Kemp that had some out of this world dunks. Thanks for letting me blab and if you want to add some more please add

I've been thinking about getting into that market. Seems like you can get some favorites reasonably cheap in good shape. Like VGA 85, key game like mario 1, or mike tyson's punchout, or double dragon for under $1,200-1,500. The first mega man game (which is rare sealed) sold for, I think $1,600 a few months ago. Ghosts and Goblins is another rare game, sold for $700.
For 80's collectibles, they seem like a decent investment. Hard to see them collapsing the way psa 10 rookies from the 80's or 90's might collapse.
The black box games look especially interesting. It'd be exciting to get some of those sealed, in good shape. And maybe some sealed gameboy games after that.
