Classic cards

Anyone have an opinion about Classic cards (the brand, not old cards). Seeing cases of these go for peanuts so obviously not worth anything, but are the auto inserts worth busting a six dollar box for? So far I've seen auto inserts for Mike Schmidt, A-rod, jeter and Griffey but since the company only lasted a few yaers they get no press.

I will tell you the set I am into, the Classic Minors from 1992? It's got the Schmidt auto in the wax packs. There is also gold foil versions of the cards. Some great XRCs in that set. Nice design. And you can get factory sets or wax for under $10 each. Although, I see this stuff disappearing in the marketplace.

  • That's them. Ever pull a Schmidt auto?
