Rare Topps Baseball Cards (S.I. Slide Show)

Saw this on the Sports Illustrated site today, thought some of you might enjoy. As you would expect there are several errors and they even show images of the cards with the edges clipped off, but all in all I thought it was a pretty good mainstream feature on our hobby.


Gotta love that one of the "rare" Topps Baseball Cards is the '87 Topps Cal Ripken image

    I bet the seventeen remaining brick and mortar shops are going to love being inundated with people trying to sell their "rare" McGwire rookies and '87 Topps cards.

    Maybe that's the rare part.

    yea that 87 cal ripken is super rare. not a lot of those cards was printed image

    Sounds like the author collects cards and wants to drum up some hype for some of the cards that he has.

    those are generally a list of popular cards, valuable cards, and uncorrected error cards. None of them are rare.
    I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.
