Question regarding encased uncirculated Topps Retired Autographs

These cases often become scratched and I was curious to see if anyone thought it would decrease the value of the cards if they were removed from their holders??

Why is it so hard to keep them from getting scratched? You could easily just put them
in a postcard baggie. That's what I did. Never a scratch.

Just as Matt said, I would rather they sit in a PSA holder then the original Topps holder.

I simply put each card in a "team bag" (smaller than a graded-card bag). they fit perfectly.

I'm with Matt, though - I've liberated several of my Butlers from the Topps slab. Some I've kept raw in my Butler box, and a couple of them went in for grading. One pulled a nice 10, which is the only self-submitted 10 I've ever done.
