When I sold off my collection several years ago, one of the coins was a double florin in About Fine.
Now that I'm rebuilding, I wanted to upgrade and found this example affordable.
1887 Victoria Double Florin Silver 22.6 grams 36mm
Obverse 2-field is slightly concave
Reverse 2- Arabic 1 in date. The field is very slightly concave.
Edge-Milled
Denomination only struck from 1887 to 1890 (an unpopular coin at the time of issue)
I would love to see 2 examples of this type if anyone has them out there:
the 1888 or 89 with the 'inverted 1' in Victoria (result of a broken punch)
