ID help needed - Thai token/coin?

Planning on listing this one, so I'm looking for more info..

It's 28mm, appears to be bronze. It looks nearly dead on for the first "modern" coinage types. Could it be an unofficial striking with original dies?

  • This is most likely a counterfeit of a pattern 1 baht struck in copper. The genuine copper patterns show much finer detail. Several years ago I bought one of these in very nice condition from a junk bin, and was REALLY excited that I had a Krause-listed pattern. However, Nirat at Smythe deflated me, explaining in detail the difference and informing me that these are fairly common "reproductions".
