I guess submitting hundreds of cards to the 4 services pays off in knowing how each service grades every card . Me personally have used each service both in modern and in vintage.
Yes I have used all four grading services as well and been satisfied most of the time- although have found PSA perplexing at times (+) usually solid with abundant experience and depth (-) qualifiers; 9's that don't look always like 9's more often than other grading services; too long to embrace half grades; diamond cut and poor color acceptance in high grade material; ridiculous crossgrading standards, BGS/BVG (+ & -) incredibly and consistently tough- but a 9 always looks like a 9; hand cut grading- although easily reject it if not completely smooth/straight/nonbeveled, GAI (+) very consistent in my experience and sensitive to cardboard variations and cuts from year to year (-)recent problems with image etc- although I know all grading companies have graded altered cards- i've unfortunatly owned them at times, SGC (+) quiet & good graders. Pete

Imo I would cross to psa.... I believe it looks like a nine in my eyes but in hand it could change my mind. I would wait for a special and send it off. I would send it in with a psa 8 that isn't a strong 8 with the Gai 9 card though. Jmo though. Do you have a large collection of Gai cards. I have been having luck with Gai cards in the 1st generation flips by the way. Ryan
Thanks for the advice. I've looked at the select high grade Gai cards I have under intense 40x magnification and they all look legit (slight shiney roll to the upper and lower pre-edges, even "factory" cut edges, same color tones to the edges etc). But I think your advice about sending the brett with a weak 8 is good. Would you suggest limiting to the submission to 8 or less cards? In my experience 8 card submits seem to generate more mint/9's than any other combination . This seems to have worked in the past. Ryan what's your opinion. Its funny how it seems you have to play this numbers game sometimes- maybe it does not matter- but funny none the less. Pete

I think more than 8 cards would benefit you in my opinion and I think the chances of you getting more nines would increase. I strongly agree with you on this numbers game the more you submit the better. Ryan
