I trust them more than PSA/DNA at this point, whether they are in SGC or BGS slabs.

I've sent a few (maybe 10) into the JSA/BGS process... and my thoughts on the PROCESS are:

The turn-around is fair... I wanna say just a few weeks and I had my cards back in-hand... maybe a month at the most.
The submission form is a tad confusing the first time you go through it... DO NOT forget to send your cards to Spence and NOT beckett.... otherwise
you're waiting at least a week (or two) longer.

I did have one auto "authenticated" and slabbed by Spence that was later deemed NOT authentic. It was a McGwire auto.
It was deemed not authentic by a trust-worthy McGwire 'expert.'

Outside of that... if you can get over the semi-ugly blue BGS flip... the JSA/BGS slabs are fine.

Personally, I believe Spence is accurate on his Authentications (except for the one.) image

ALWAYS Looking for Chris Sabo cards!

No comments on quality of authentication, but I will say that two "in person" signed cards they sent back as "can't authenticate" both passed PSA/DNA.

I've got a real customer service horror story about JSA that hasn't been resolved yet, I can't go into details now but if they don't make good on the matter I'll spill the beans here. Trust me, you'll think twice about sending them anything.

Sal Bando anyone, Sal Bando???? To be as polite as possible, I prefer to send my stuff here (PSA/DNA).

  • Please don't get me started on a thesis for JSA and PSA/DNA.

  • JSA is good. Their BGS labels are pretty ugly being light light blue, but I would still have no problem buying most JSA items.
Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards.
Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
