1994 Bowman Football refractors - anyone know the count...

of regular refractors vs black vs blue? I don't believe they are numbered, and couldn't find the info online. Is there a website to find this stuff out? I just won a black refractor and curious just how 'rare' it is. Thanks!

Was it a 1994 Stadium Club Bowman's Best Refractor?
I collect Vintage Cards, Commemorative Sets, and way too many vintage and modern player collections in Baseball (180 players), Football (175 players), and Basketball (87 players). Also have a Dallas Cowboy team collection.

If it was the 1994 Stadium Club Bowman's Best Refractor set, then you are right, they were not serial numbered.

It was a refractor set where the veteran stars were the "Black" refractors, and the rookies were "Blue" refractors, so there were not "Black" and "Blue" parallels for each player.

Not sure about the production numbers, but I don't think they were really very rare. Someone else will have to chime in on that aspect.

I remember buying a LOT of those 1994 Stadium Club Series 3 cards. Probably 2-3 boxes. I loved the design of the Bowman's Best black and gray cards with the stars but don't think I got any of the refractors. It was one of those sets I thought would be nice to hold onto for future value but I don't think that is the case. I've seen the boxes at $12 and I think they were more like 80 back then or $3 a pack. May be rare and nice looking cards but I don't think they sell for much. The base cards were cool also because they captured images of the players in the 75 Seasons throwback unis and helmets.

Sorry - yes it was Stadium Club Bowman - the cards I was looking at was a Faulk RC (blue) and Faulk/Barry Sanders card (Black)...so if only rookies were blue that makes sense. Paid like $27 for a psa 10 Faulk/Sanders Black Refractor...oh well.

The Faulk/Sanders combo Refractor card was the highest book value card among the "combo" cards in that set.

I just checked, and my most recent Becket Football Annual (2001-not very recent) gives a book value for that raw refractor as $12--$30--so a PSA 10 for $27 might be a good deal if you collect either of those players. I have no idea if the values have climbed or dropped in the last 9 years, though.
