Ebay / PayPal / USPS HELP!

last Tuesday (2/9/10) I shipped out a package......

The package still has not arrived (Oregon to Florida).

It went out Parcel Post so that is 2-9 days (USPS mailing days).

Buyer on Ebay has opened a claim demanding to know where her item is.

I have all of the info entered (sig con & insurance) into the dispute console

She has posted a note that the number was found to be fake by USPS after she called them (not sure how that could be, unless she gave them the incorrect info) and suspended the dispute asking Ebay to make a decision on the case.

The sig con # shows that it was shipped on the 9th...but that is it...

I mailed this at the PO, not through a machine or at home - if that matters.



do I need to worry (because I am right now...)?

    tracking info finally gets updated today it has arrived in Florida (not yet delivered though).....

    The lengthy delivery time of Parcel Post is going to be a problem for you with the typical Ebay buyer. Contact the buyer through every contact method you can, Ebay item #, PayPal, direct email, and give her the update, cut and pasted from the USPS site. Remind her that Parcel Post is slow, and the latest weather in between isn't helping.

    After that, block the buyer from future auctions. They need to relax given what you stated.

    Looking for rare Randy Moss rookies and autos, as well as '97 PMG Red Football cards for my set.

    as long as the DC says its arrived, email her and tell her to go down and sign for it, once its delivered ebay should side with you,bj

    Depending on where it was shipped from and to, the weather is really messing USPS, UPS and FedEx up right now. USPS distribution centers are stocked full of mail they haven't been able to get moved. I've seen priority mail (my own parcel) sit 8 days waiting to go 200 miles.

    Mail at the DCs is last in first out right now, because the stuff that got there first is blocked in.

    Parcel post is like media mail. It goes when there is room. Kind of like standing room only for mail.

    Tracking numbers that have not yet been scanned by a clerk or carrier will read as if they don't have a record for them. Doesn't mean they're fake.

    Explain that to paypal in your dispute and block the bidder. And expect a negative with bad DSR stars.
