Scans of some raw cards from my collection (Mantles and random stuff)

Just wanted to share some of my favorite cards from my collection. image Since I'm new to the world of graded cards, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

And I know that I need to clean my scanner. I tried, but there always seems to be dust/hair on it no matter what I do. LOL.

Here's one of my favorites (60 Topps Mantle):

Thanks for sharing, great looking cards. If you ever plan on selling them, they are definitely worth getting graded.

Think about getting them slabbed, they will look even better.

drool... you gotta slab these, even if you're not selling them. If anything just to preserve them. Just my opinion. Love that '60 Mantle...

I'm honestly just looking for opinions on what should be graded and potential grades. You guys know WAAAAAY more about PSA-grading than I do. Plus, I've never had a chance to show anyone on the boards my collection, and I've been here a little while.

One that I'm really missing is my '75 Topps Ryan. I have a *stellar* example that I paid $25 for back in the day. I can't stinkin' find it right now, sadly enough. The ones I scanned are the ones I keep in my safety deposit box for sentimental reasons. image

I used to think all bigger dollar cards needed slabbed, not anymore. If you are keeping them, save your money it dosen't look like you've done them any harm so far and probably won't in the future.

I was just kidding. I don't submit cards, so you don't really want my opinion on the grades. I do love seeing nice cards, though, so I really like this thread! Are you looking to sell the cards? If not, why not just leave them raw? You can take the money you'd spend on grading and buy a couple more keepers!

I'm not going to slab stuff like the '48 Spahn and '67 Carew. I was just considering slabbing the cards in better condition to see if I could get some miracle grades on them. haha. It's be way cooler to say "here's my PSA 9 Mantle". I think the '60 Topps Koufax looks like something to slab as well. There are several I'll keep raw though.

There is something wild and untamed about seeing great vintage cards in CardSavers instead of slabs. When I look at those scans, all I see is card; no flip or slab to detract.

Geez, now I've got bad card wood again. Back in a few. image
