Sometimes I don't trust my own eyes. I'd like another opinion or two or three or...

Appears to have a serious tilt

  • I don't like it. Another case of buy the card, not the holder (grade).
  • Yes it does

  • Thanks for the second and third (and fourth) opinions! I'm glad I didn't wait around for that auction. I ended up with a PSA7 earlier today that's centered left-to-right, but a little high. That #5 card in the '62 set is notorious for poor centering -- usually l-r. I've never seen a tilt like this especially in a PSA8! image
  • Wow... I checked VCP avg on a 7 against an 8. Big jump

If your 7 is nice, maybe resub for the .5

Hmmm. When I get it in my hot hands I'll have to consider that advice. SMR jumps from PSA7:$195 to PSA8:$850! That really emphasizes the difficulty in getting a good example of this card.

Although the condition of the card is AWESOME ... almost as good as when it was printed in Brooklyn, NY 48 years ago ... that does NOT belong in an "8" slab. The tilt is just too distracting.

I was having a hard time trying to determine whether the picture was centered well or not -- and the tilt threw me off. Definitely a distraction at best!
