I'm picking #5 for tomorrow. If Jr finishes in the top 3 in the N'Wide race, then I'll pick him instead.

(I also think #14 has a good chance at winning his first 500)

I'm clueless - how many NASCAR races has she had prior to Daytona?

I have to say - one way or the other:

She raced the ARCA race last week. This is/was her first race in one of the big NASCAR series. She is racing in the series one step down from the main series.

Well, she was racing -- now she is in the garage with a broken car.

I was listening to here in car radio for a while while driving today. It made for some interesting listening for a bit. It was very obvious she had no experience out there, based on how they were directing her over the radio. She must have a huge amount of raw driving talent (and obvious marketing talent) that they are hoping to cash in on.

  • Hoping for Gordon, probably be Kahne or Johnson though.

I know it's going to be tough!
  • Junior had a good shot in today's race for the win until he was taken out....................#88 in the 500!

Congrats to McMurray, but I didn't think I was ever going to see the end of this race. This was the longest (time wise) Daytona 500 in history. Junior made a great dash for the front on the last few laps and made it more interesting.

I don't care what anybody says. She is a beautiful woman. I've heard people bashing her, but I think it's just jealousy. She can drive a race car and look good after. As far as her racing Nascar? Only time will tell, but it's a hard sport for a woman to break into the good old boy circles. A few have tried without any luck. But she does bring some big bucks sponsers and a huge following of girls and woman. It will take 3 years for the results to be in. I for one am hoping she does well.

I bet nobody would have pick Jamie McMurry? I always root for old sprint car drivers to win. Tony Stewart or Kasey Kahne.

Yea, it would've been nice to have one more lap to give Junior a better chance. Tenth to second in one lap is pretty good though image I haven't seen turbo-boost like that since Knight Rider image

Second-place at Daytona is a good start for Junior, especially after last year! Hopefully, he and his team will be able to build on it and be a strong Championship contender image
