The Big Hurt didn't even play last year. I thought he hung it last year. Anyway I agree both are HOFers.

I honestly didn't notice him either. He fell off my radar in the late 90's.

Regardless you are all correct in saying they are both HOFers!

Hopefully no steroid accusations hinder either of them.
  • 2 very very classy guys.

    1st ballot lock HOF.
  • Alot of Atlanta fans have never quite gotten over the ass that Glavine was during the strike - I think he's mellowed but that on top of the Mets thing..... Yeah he's a HOFer but still was a big part of one of the most underachieving organizations in professional sports history.
  • lol underachievers, your hilarious.

Cant win the world series every year my friend. The Braves lacked the pop in their offense to really win more titles. They were remarkably consistent and professional, their goal every year was to make the post season, regardless of their personnel.

Both are definite HOF'ers, although I tend to think Glavine "hung it up" a year or two ago.

The Braves have had the best farm system for a long time which is what keeps them in it from year to year. Their upper managements obsession with signing old, over the hill stars to play is what has cost them the last few years (Glaus is another in that long line)

Glavine has his Assistants job up in the front office and I wouldn't doubt that Frank rejoins the Sox org. one of these days. The Sox did announce the retirement of Frank's # today.

Glad to hear that. I know there seemed to be some tension between he & the club when he left, so I'm glad they are recognizing the great contribution he made to their team.
