He who hesitates is lost....Kevin McHale signed rookie

I must be losing my edge. I saw this Kevin McHale signed rookie card on ebay earlier today. Rather then just snatch it up and then run the quick opinion, I ran the quick opinion first and submitted a token best offer just for grins. Thought about it for a couple hours, and decided to heck with it, I'll just go buy it and then wait on the QO results. Sat down at PC, and saw that someone hit Buy it Now 10 freaking minutes before Don't know if its real or not, but I should have bought it when I initially saw it, and then even if the quick opinion was negative, ebay would have poofed the auction and I wouldn't have been out anything. A McHale signed rookie is tough, and I blew it being complacent. I hope the quick opinion comes back negative and at least then I won't kick myself for not buying it. I learned a lesson though. It won't happen again. He/She that hesitates is lost.

The other day someone asked in a thread why someone would pay BIN price when Best Offer was available and you could save a few dollars. This is why.

I have a feeling that it is real, but is an in-person rush job. I cannot imagine someone trying to fake one and making it like that. I have no idea though.
  • McHale signed when he worked for the Wolves, you just had to know when he would be around as he left early from the games when he was not coaching. I also got him TTM back a few years ago. The first autograph does not look familiar to me but if it was signed a while ago, I would have no idea what it looked like. All the signatures of him I've seen look like the cut that was posted.

Mike, I got McHale to sign a ton in person when he played with the Celtics in the 80s and 90s. (He was an easy signer at the time, BTW.) This definitely looks like an in-person quick signature to me.

Before you get upset about missing it, let me look over the weekend and see if I have a signed McHale rookie for you that I got in person. Can't swear that I have a rookie, but I may....

Since we are not supposed to post quick opinion results, I won't, BUT, let's just say I should have bought it.
