Autograph collectors, WWYD?

I also collect non-sports autos and I like working on cast sets of index cards from various movies that I really liked as a kid. For one cast, there is an autograph I need on eBay as a BIN for $20. The price is fair for this particular actor, but the problem is I have never seen another autograph of his anywhere, ebay, or otherwise, not even a reprint. They guy is older (60's-70's), but doesn't sign at all TTM, as StarTiger has no successes or scans shown.

So here is my delimma, do I buy it and hope I can prove to myself later that its real? I know I could use PSA quick opinion, but I have always had doubts about there ability to accurately make an opinion on lowend, less famous/popular people. And I really don't want them to say not genuine, and eBay pull my only possible autograph of the guy based on their opinion.

The seller isn't selling any bigs stars autographs, so I dont think he is playing the forging game.

I am considering hitting the BIN, then submitting for the Quick Opinion, as no matter what they say on the QO, it still could be real or fake.

Any thoughts?

    It's only $20 and you've never seen another? You've wasted $20 doing worse things no doubt. Really a no-brainer for me. Hit the BIN and worry about it later.

    Everything to gain here and relatively nothing to lose. Go get your auto!

    For $20, you have very little downside........Buy it, then send it to PSA/DNA

    My thoughts are that if someone was going to forge an auto, they would forge somebody's that's worth more than $20. Go for it (especially if the seller looks reputable).

    I have to agree with the other answers you have already received. IT'S TWENTY DOLLARS!!!!! Don't even waste money on a quick opinion. Buy the damn auto NOW and send it in to PSA when/if they have another $10.00 special.

    How much money have you thrown away on "junk" cards or cards you really didn't need during your collecting life?

    Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

    Its Dan Hedaya, the movie is the Addams Family movie
