  • Looking back at some of Aaron's past sales on the 1961's on VCP there are some print marks on some of them but this example I think is the worst for a PSA 8.

With print dots that bad, that card really should get a PD qualifier in my opinion. Perhaps PSA doesn't consider print dots a PD qualifier - I'm not sure.

Way too many print circles for an 8. And the centering is kinda questionable too; am I wrong?

It seems the lower quality the card the more likely the seller says "WOW", uses $ signs, or states the SMR. Sometimes they show the SMR for a card with no qualifiers when the card for sale has one.

very true...with all of my listings I keep the description very simple...let the card, title, and image sell the card...it's not up to me to tell the buyers how "rare" or "awesome!" a card is.

here is an example of one of my descriptions:

You are purchasing the card in the title only.

Shipping within the US and to Canada is free for this item.

All reasonable offers will be considered.

If you have any questions please ask before purchase as there are no returns.

    Thank you for looking.

  • Looks like the 4SC grader got a hold of this one. Agreed, that is one bad looking 8.
From what I can tell, 707 is the DOLLAR STORE compared to deans_cards. For what that guy charges, if I ever bought anything from him I would expect it to be delivered to me in a frickin' limo.

I still love when they all put RARE on their items. Do you want to know what is RARE? My productivity at work since I joined this site.

RARE is by far the most cliched and overused term on Ebay. And most items labeled "rare" aren't really rare at all.

61 Topps are notorious for this problem. I have seen other Aarons with this issue. PSA seems to allow more print dots in the name panels versus the picture though. In reality I have actually seen worse.

This card is reminescent of WIWAG type cards.
