Why waste the time on such a big ad?

If someone could please indulge me by putting up the link to this ebay auction 370330261114

In the body of the listing they beg us to be aware of the shipping charge on this item. The shipping price is outrageous, but do they really think that will have a bearing on whether or not someone will bid on this card?

Are they really that deep in the dark or what?

    LOL.

Seriously, if you're paying $99 bucks for that, why not kick in another $15 or so. C'mon......

Damn. If only it could've been centered a bit better, I would've jumped on it.

The thing that bothers me the most is that someone would actually send in a near mint 1988 Topps card to be graded.

    Remember, you can't fix stupid.

1988 Topps Cal Ripken Jr PSA 10 sold last week for $167.50.

Not surprising - Gaetti is the Felix Potvin of the Minnesota sportscard market.

    That's a strong 8. Possible crack and resub for a 9.

I would crack and burn it just to never have to see this waste of a grading fee ever again!

I think that was a mistake where a guy had a template set up for another high-value card and botched it. Hit sell similar item and forgot to change the dollar amounts to .99 and 2.00 shipping. If you have a valuable card that you're going to insure, then $14 is high but some could make the argument. Guy has high and positive feedback so my guess is he screwed up. You don't get that far asking people to bid 99.99 on a PSA anything of Gary Gaetti. That's just wasting your own time and money.

You could get a shoe box sized flat rate box, insure it, stuff it with peanuts and still have enough to submit another PSA 8 1988 card. image
