Best super bowl ad

Which super bowl ad did you think was the best? I personally like the Dave Letterman, Oprah, and Jay Leno clip the best. In second place was the McDonalds commercial with Larry Bird at the end.

I thought the one about casual day with all the guys running around in tighty whities was hilarious.....

I liked the Betty White/Abe Vigoda football ad also. I thought it was hilarious to see them get tackled.

I did not think much of most of the other ads...Donato

  • casual friday underwear ad was funny, but my fave was Betty White, and apparently the public agrees. It was the top rated Ad from the superbowl in their tracking index.

    cheers.

While not the best, the Favre one made me chuckle - mostly because I saw a good college friend as an interviewer in it...had no idea.
I liked seeing the kid smack the guy in the doritos commercial - but a pretty down year overall.

i thought the CSI commercial at halftime was the best. rocked out.
  • As a group I thought the Dorito's ads were the best. But the best overall single ad for me was the Google ad.

If you ask me there were WAY too many "dudes in underwear" commercials. What were there, like three different commercials like that?

The one Doritos commercial was my favorite. image

I loved the Budweiser ad with the Clydesdale and the Ox. I always like their ads!

I liked the Dorito's commercials the best. More specifically the Dorito Ninja, and the Baby ones.

I can't believe no one has mentioned the Budweiser ad with the people lost on an island after their plane crashed.
  • Or bridgestone graphics with exploding tires. Geez firestone, let us forget the Explorer tire recalls already. Sit back and let toyota be the fall guy for a while.

I thought most of the ads were big letdowns. i did get a kick out of the Stevie Wonder/Tracy Morgan slugbug bit though

i have no idea what a third of those ads were even selling

I liked the Dodge commercial with the guys' list of things they do for their wives. That one hit home for me.

    Megan Fox. Enough said.
Budweiser bridge is out was good.
    Bridgestome Whale was good.

Betty White was funny, but I thought the product was wrong. Would have been better for Gatorade.
I felt the same way about the Dove ad -- funny song, wrong product

The Google one was great -- but it's a stolen idea from many years ago (Target print)

Personally I thought the Bridgestone whale commercial was a poor ripoff from the move "The Hangover".......hard to beat a bachelor party in Vegas when a tiger ends up on the room...and my personal best was Betty White and Abe Vigoda......nice

Yeah, I'm far from Mr. Over-Sensitive, but that Budweiser Bridge-Out Commercial was way to close to seeing the pics of the mass-graves in Haiti.

    yikes

EDIT: I'm probably the only one...

I fast forwarded through the game except for the 4th quarter just to watch the commercials
and I thought they were all pretty much below par. Especially when you think of the cost involved.

  • From what I seen, the US Gov ad was rated the worst, and the bud/Long Horn was rated the best by viewers.... And the ad execs liked the betty white Snickers as the best "product" ad.
