Wow, that is horrible. I would hate to get scammed out of $2000+! But then again, who buys 1952 Mantles on craigslist and expects them to be authentic?

It stuff like this that has me considering to leave the hobby. You think that with it being PSA it would be fine but that is not the case.

So they are just photo shopping the PSA Flip or or the images stolen?

The only way I would buy off craigslist would be to take a road trip, check out the cards in person and then make my decision to buy or not....
  • seriously, if you are buying ANYTHING on craiglist, you have a problem....
  • Thanks for the info....

As for the above comment, Craigslist is great for local purchases, particularly large items(washer/dryer,stoves,couches,etc...). As for selling,I'd rather deal locally than worry about shipping/handling and the 21% eBay/Paypal takes away from me.

    Absolutely !

I get good stuff - NOT paper collectibles - on CL all the time.

Selling large items? CL is the place.

When selling, just get cash. If they don't have cash, direct them
    to the nearby ATM.

Some of the buyers/sellers don't look/act/talk exactly like
I do, but they are mostly "safe."
