Furious on some, pleased on others - My commments about my POPPAGE!

On some of the cards, I got what I hoped for. There were a few though, that I don't know what they were looking at. My comments are at the end of each grade.

1 1 16204154 VERY GOOD 3 1909-1911 T206 SWEET CAPORAL MILLER HUGGINS PORTRAIT - Was hoping for a 4, ok with a 3.

2 1 16204155 EXCELLENT 5 1939 PLAY BALL 6 LEO DUROCHER - Just what I thought.

3 1 16204156 VERY GOOD-EXCELLENT 4 1939 PLAY BALL 53 CARL HUBBELL - Can't remember.

4 1 16204157 VERY GOOD 3 1941 PLAY BALL 72 LEFTY GOMEZ - Just what I thought.

5 1 16204158 EXCELLENT 5 1949 BOWMAN 29 RALPH KINER - Was hoping for a 6, ok with a 5.

6 1 16204159 EXCELLENT 5 1952 BOWMAN 174 MICKEY GRASSO - Was hoping for an 8. Not sure what went wrong here.

7 1 16204160 VERY GOOD-EXCELLENT 4 1952 TOPPS 26 MONTY IRVIN BLACK BACK - Wasn't sure. Had razor sharp corners, but was o/c. Thought at least 5 or 6.

8 1 16204161 N1: EVIDENCE OF TRIMMING 1954 TOPPS 8 BOBBY YOUNG - Whatever. I thought lock 8.

9 1 16204162 EXCELLENT 5 1957 TOPPS 95 MICKEY MANTLE - Was hoping for a 5 and got it.

10 1 16204163 EXCELLENT+ 5.5 1959 TOPPS 350 ERNIE BANKS - Was hoping for a 5, got a 5.5.

11 1 16204164 NEAR MINT 7 1959 FLEER TED WILLIAMS 42 1951-WILLIAMS SLOWED BY INJURY - Just what I thought.

12 1 16204165 NEAR MINT 7 1959 FLEER TED WILLIAMS 46 1952-READY FOR COMBAT - Just what I thought.

13 1 16204166 NEAR MINT-MINT 8 1959 FLEER TED WILLIAMS 66 1958-POWERHOUSE - Just what I thought.

14 1 16204167 GOOD 2 1959 FLEER TED WILLIAMS 43 1951-LEADS OUTFLDRS IN DOUBLE PLAYS - WHAAATTTTTT????? I was hoping for (I'm serious here) a 9!

15 1 16204168 NEAR MINT-MINT 8 1961 TOPPS 20 ROBIN ROBERTS - Thought it was a 7 actually. I'm good with an 8.

16 1 16204169 EXCELLENT-MINT 6 1961 TOPPS 150 WILLIE MAYS - I thought this card was a lock 7 and a great shot at an 8. Don't know what they were thinking here.

17 1 16204170 EXCELLENT-MINT 6 1961 TOPPS 160 WHITEY FORD - I thought this was a lock 8!!!!!! With an outside shot at a 9 (seriously!) I about threw my mouse threw the computer screen.

18 1 16204171 NEAR MINT 7 1961 TOPPS 260 DON DRYSDALE - Hoping for an 8. Ok with 7.

19 1 16204172 NEAR MINT-MINT 8 1966 TOPPS 487 AL FERRARA - Hoping for a 9. Ok with 8.

20 1 16204173 MINT 9 1970 KELLOGG'S 12 WILLIE MAYS - Hoping for a 10 (really, I was). Ok with a 9.

21 1 16204174 NEAR MINT 7 1971 TOPPS 606 CHUCK TAYLOR - Thought this was a lock 8. Sometimes 71's are tough and very inconsistent.

22 1 16204175 MINT 9 1981 DONRUSS 260 NOLAN RYAN - Obviously hoping for a 10, and rightly so.

23 1 16204176 NEAR MINT-MINT 8 1982 TOPPS TRADED 109T OZZIE SMITH - These 3 Ozzie cards were identical, in my humble opinion. Thought lock 9, with shot at 10.

24 1 16204179 NEAR MINT-MINT 8 1982 TOPPS TRADED 98T CAL RIPKEN JR. - I think PSA targets some cards. This is one of them. I really thought lock 9 on both of Ripkens.

25 1 16204181 MINT 9 1982 FLEER 229 NOLAN RYAN - Obviously hoping for a 10.

26 1 16204182 MINT 9 1983 TOPPS 482 TONY GWYNN - This one is about right. I was hoping for a 10, but ok with a 9.

27 1 16204183 GEM MINT 10 1983 FLEER 179 WADE BOGGS - How dare they do this to me! Just kidding.

28 1 16204184 NEAR MINT-MINT 8 1983 DONRUSS 277 RYNE SANDBERG. Can't remember for sure. I'm sure I thought lock 9 with a shot at a 10.

29 1 16204185 GEM MINT 10 1983 DONRUSS 586 WADE BOGGS - I guess I will have to settle for the 10.

30 1 16204186 MINT 9 1983 DONRUSS 598 TONY GWYNN Card US - Ok with 9, but hoping for 10.

31 1 16204187 MINT 9 1984 FLEER 131 DON MATTINGLY - I really thought this one had a shot at perfection.

32 1 16204188 GEM MINT 10 1987 FLEER 604 BARRY BONDS - I wish he was clean.

32 2 16204189 MINT 9 1987 FLEER 604 BARRY BONDS - One out of 2 ain't bad.

33 1 16204190 MINT 9 1989 FLEER GLOSSY 602 JOHN SMOLTZ - An absolutely perfect card sits in a 9 holder.

33 2 16204191 MINT 9 1989 FLEER GLOSSY 602 JOHN SMOLTZ - Make that 2 perfect cards in 9 holders.

34 1 16204192 NEAR MINT-MINT 8 1989 UPPER DECK 1 KEN GRIFFEY JR. STAR ROOKIE - I figured 8 or 9. Toss up.

35 1 16204193 MINT 9 2007 TOPPS 130 ALBERT PUJOLS - This card is freakin' impossible!!!!! I have bought over 60 of these things. I've sent in 6. All 6 came back 9's.

36 1 16204195 MINT 9 2009 TOPPS 290 ALBERT PUJOLS - I was really getting mad until I looked below.

36 2 16204196 GEM MINT 10 2009 TOPPS 290 ALBERT PUJOLS - Phew! I am trying to get PSA 10's on every Topps base Pujols.

36 3 16204197 GEM MINT 10 2009 TOPPS 290 ALBERT PUJOLS - So far I still need 01 and 07.

37 1 16204198 MINT 9 1976 TOPPS 378 BURGESS OWENS - I thought, what the heck, it looks perfect.

38 1 16204199 MINT 9 1976 TOPPS 234 MARV HUBBARD - Ditto.

39 1 16204200 MINT 9 1989 SCORE 270 TROY AIKMAN - Looked just as good as the Sanders below.

40 1 16204201 GEM MINT 10 1989 SCORE 257 BARRY SANDERS - This made me happy.

41 1 16204202 MINT 9 1988 TOPPS STICKERS 8 WAYNE GRETZKY - Obviously, I thought this one had a shot at a 10.

42 1 16204203 GEM MINT 10 1988 FLEER 17 MICHAEL JORDAN - The above Sanders and this one helped ease the pain.

    I subbed my '82 Ripken from the group vending box purchase we did- came back N6. Whatever....

    Your submission is typical of what an experienced collector might encounter. I recall when I submitted, some grades were head scratchers. Getting a PSA 8 when you thought it was a toss up between a PSA 9 or 10 is the most hurtful.

    But you see that you did get some 10s.

    Grading cards cost money, so it is only worthwhile to submit potential 10s on modern stuff. The vintage stuff might be worth it if its simply authentic without being doctored.

    No scan on the 59 Williams.

    I didn't type it all. I copied the grades from my poppage.
