If you cancel a transaction can you get a negative?

I accidentally listed and sold twice an item that I only had one of recently. I sent a request to the buyer that I erroneously listed and sold this item twice and only had one and would like to cancel the transaction. The buyer approved the request, but still paid via paypal. Can they leave a negative if a transaction has been canceled?

    No if the buyer agrees to cancel

    Did the buyer aprove the request formally? Or did he just say ok?

    If he just said ok he can neg you.

    Refund the PP and remind him that he was willing to cancel and file that with ebay.

    I think it's called 'mutual cancellation'

    I went through the ebay system to cancel the transaction. So the buyer had to take action through ebay and we both got emails from ebay that the transaction is canceled.

    I did refund the payment through paypal too.

    My wife has come through her ordeal well. She is "normal" again. Still has pain sometimes after extended time of holding our kids. Thanks for asking.

    Now if we could just get the kids over their ear infections.
