how tough is Topps (circa 1970) baseball supers grading?

I remember asking about deckle edge toughness a while back and was scared off from submitting. How do the supers hold up and what should I look out for?

Thanks to all who read and BIG thanks to any responders.

Watch out for the roller lines on the front and the edge crimps and machining marks on the back. A little chipping on the back won't kill you and as long as the cards are clean, PSA 8's should be a reasonable expectation. I've seen these graded very leniently and very conservatively. The same card has come back in a PSA 7 and when cracked and resubbed, in a PSA 9...

Interesting points. I have a 70 Super Set and and 71 Super Set. The difference from what I can tell is that the 71's have those annoying wrinkles on the back at the very edges. Because of their consistency, I imagine they originated at the factory, as the rest of each card shows minimal handling. Therefore I haven't subbed any. Now the 70's on the otherhand have no such problems. In fact, I have a 70 Boog Powell that is just plain sick, I need to get that thing subbed ASAP.

Agree with the comments with one to add . . .

Watch for the mysterious (ST) qualifier -- I've seen a few where I simply cannot find the (ST).

anyone have any experiences with the 1986 jumbo cards? are they also hard to have graded??? I was considering submitting some but the last time I did the grades were really brutal.
