Feb. CC grading specials??

Wonder what it'll be?? I know the $8 Set Registry special is through the end of February. It's very nice when Carol comes on a few days early with info
I considered Jan. a "down" month as far as the specials go...

How bout you guys mirror what the Group sub is like you'll did last time, maybe drop the year to 1950, because I have a bunch of 53's that aren't going anywhere until I can afford them under a $5 or less special.
Thanks
Neil

That would be freaking awesome. I am still kicking myself for forgetting I had a bunch of index cards that I wanted to slab, but not at normal price.

...and I have a bunch of 51s. 'Course, I'd also end up signing back up for the CC as well.

Buying Vintage, all sports.
Buying Woody Hayes, Les Horvath, Vic Janowicz, and Jesse Owens autographed items
<< <i>how about first in first out on the specials!!!!! come on psa thats the right thing to do.. >>
Now that would be special

Working on:
Football
1973 Topps PSA 8+ (99.81%)
1976 Topps PSA 9+ (36.36%)
1977 Topps PSA 9+ (100%)
Baseball
1938 Goudey (56.25%)
1951 Topps Redbacks PSA 8 (100%)
1952 Bowman PSA 7+ (63.10%)
1953 Topps PSA 5+ (91.24%)
1973 Topps PSA 8+ (70.76%)
1985 Fleer PSA 10 (54.85%)
I am so down with that. The $35/per is a little steep, but I have both sets complete in near mint +++ condition, and the 24 day turnaround coincides perfectly with Spring Training. What better time to release those monsters on Ebay.

Boy, it would have paid to stay in college longer. Thanks
There are way too many specials...what there should be is a good flat all-year rate and maybe one special a year to stem off of that. If I send 100 cards @ $8 and then a month later there is a $5.50 special, I see that I paid $250 more today than a few days ago. And if other customers' orders pop under the special before my $8 it only adds salt to the wound.
When this happens I begin looking at other alternatives for grading, sorry but true.

<< <i>PSA should send us as many holders as we request along with flips and let us grade our own cards for the entire month.
Unfortunetly this is already being done without PSA's consent........
I just want a more bullet proof slab.

Prescreen Special: $2/card, $250 max value per card, 100 card minimum, 1950-present. SGC graders will prescreen your cards for a minimum grade and you pay just $4 additional for any card that meets or exceeds the minimum grade. Turnaround will be 10-20 business days.

Not bad, but 100 card minimum is a lot. I don't see this on their website yet. Still waiting for the Feb. PSA specials...

Wow! This is pretty cool!
I think someone here had the theory that this is the kind of treatment that PSA may offer the SUPER large submitters. Am I remembering this correctly?

Not sure I like this idea unless those cards that didn't meet the min grade were still included in the pop report in the total # subbed

I'm sure PSA's board of directors is currently discussing what they need to do to keep your business

Patrick ... I know that it SUCKS when you spend a lot of money and then find out the next month that there is a special and you could have saved $250.00. But isn't that how corporate America works? You walk out of a car dealership and the next month they have a $1,000.00 rebate on the car you purchased. Do you think they should just lower the price of the car all year round? Or how about that large screen TV that you just purchased from Best Buy that went on sale for $250.00 less the next month. Or those groceries that you spent $150.00 for and the next week they have a buy 1 get 2 free special? That's just the way Corporate America works ... maybe you are better off putting your cards to the side and sending them all in at once when there is a special and you are willing and happy to pay that price.
