Baseball Card Find

Hello,

Im actually a coin collector but I found a stack of baseball cards in a box today at thrift store with coins.

The cards are 42 1986 sportflix hologram cards series#1. Also found a 1975ograph Gaylord Jackson Perry 3d stars card among the others.

Are these worth keeping or should I just get rid of them.

Chris

It depends on what you mean by worth keeping. The Perry, if mint, is worth maybe a dollar or two raw. Sportflics are dime to quarter cards in most cases.

  • Hello Chris, Make some neighborhood kid happy and give them away. The 75 3D might be a couple bucks if Mint, hope the coins were better than the cards. image

That 1975 Kellogg's Gaylord Perry isn't a real autograph by the way. Like the other guys mentioned, not worth too much, but better if they're mint.

  • Hope you still have those Sportflics.

Theres one card worth some cash.

Its the Robin Yount with the Yankees logo on the reverse. One just sold on ebay for just over $100.

Theres also an error/variation on the back of the Jose Canseco multi player "rookie" card. It has something to do with one of the players wrong names being listed on the back but dont remember who.

I love the Canseco RC from this year. Just bought a lot of 100 for 30 cents each. No error/variations in the lot though. image

Without looking, who can name the other five players on that card?

I had to look because I remember that card having a player I liked and I was mad that Canseco was on the card (making it hard to trade for). Billy Jo had an awesome baseball name, btw...

I know one of them was Felix Potvin.

Anyone have more info on the Yount error?

Unconfirmed, I believe it was Canseco, Tartabull, Funderburk, Salas, Greenwell and Robidoux. Not a bad lineup.
