    Im for sure in it this year. I heard this was the last year Topps was going to make the A&G's. Not sure if that is true but I will be getting a few boxes for sure.

    By the way, Scott. Are you sure you don't want to sell me that 1991 Topps ozzie smith PSA 9 that you have??? I really need it to take the number 1 spot. image

    Is it that time of year already?

    I planned to buy a case this year. Last year I bought 9 Hobby Boxes and countless Target / WalMart boxes.

    Always a fun product.

    I'm out this year, I really had to convince myself to do it last year....and I just wasn't that impressed. I'll spend a little more on Heritage instead and buy an A&G set. I'll check in on the thread though as it's always fun to watch the rips, have fun guys!

    In short, I'm in..

    Holy Cow, is it already that time again. Why am I thinking this wasn't out until late spring last year? This thread from 2009 got me into the A&G game and my first modern set in a long, long time. I spend most of time working on 80's player registry sets for baseball and 86/87 Fleer basketball. 2009A&G was my education on "chase cards." Whole different mentality with these sets. I loved it though. Last year, I tried to do the auto's set and I'm still at about 90%. This year, I'm going to be less aggresive and work on the black border minis or something similar. Here's hoping that Topps picks better players for the autos set this year.

    I liked A&G when it first came out.

    But now that Champ's has a hockey set and no more soccer players included in 2008 and 2009 -

    I'm out.

    I just took a peek and I must say I am impressed with the changes this year. Books and a nice non sport lineup. I have several Tony Hawk autographed cards / memorabilia and seeing him in this set is great. After not doing Heritage this year I am not going to miss out on this.

    This Day in History is a 75-card set that pairs a baseball player with a significant event that happened on their birthday. The 15 Baseball Highlight Sketch cards will probably look nice but are something of a yawn compared to the remainder of the inserts. Unless, of course, they're actually original sketches this year and not something copied with a 1/1 label like they were a few years ago. Other sets include Lords of Olympus (25 cards, 1:12), Monsters of the Mesozoic (25 cards, 1:12), World's Greatest Wordsmiths (15 cards, 1:24), National Animals (50 cards, 1:8), Sailors of the Seven Seas (10 cards, 1:24).
