A collecting milestone: My first sealed case (20 years in the making).

A big deal to me, I won my very first sealed case of sports cards yesterday.
After 20 years of purchasing boxes, packs, sets and lots of 1990 Pro Set football, the stars finally aligned to allow me the chance to tear open the cardboard carton of a brand-spankin' new case containing 20 Series 1 boxes.
I'm not sure why, but I just don't see these offered for sale anymore. Kruk and BBC used to have them but I've had a tough time finding them lately. I have been opening this product since I was 9 years old, always in search of a Lombardi hologram and the handful of rare variations like the Fred Marion "belt" error. Who knows what bizarre treasures are lurking within those 720 polypropylene tombs.
This is a real treat.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
<< <i>cheers to u my friend. May your nights have alot of empty beers, full CS 1's and a side of rare football errors...
! >>
Thanks! No grading though. I'll be passing on anything that isn't a variation, insert or printing flaw etc.
<< <i>RIP away my friend and tell us about the "NEW" errors you find! 1 of 1s!!! >>
Right, a whole lot of 1 of 1s in this product.
Collecting Robin Ventura and Matt Luke.

<< <i>I don't suppose you'll be posting pics of your case break, will you? >>
I think I may list any highlights for each box, anything special gets a scan/photo.
This might be a good way to practice using my phone's supposed fancy camera.

<< <i>And of course, tell us how many complete sets you get out of the case. >>
I will not be building complete sets of this. Everything non-variation and insert will be getting tossed out (along with the 65,000 1990 Pro Set cards sitting in my house currently).
Collecting Robin Ventura and Matt Luke.
A couple years later, I bought another sealed case, one that I still have. It was an investment and in another thousand years, it'll be worth what I paid for it. I bought a 1990/91 Pro Set Hockey Series I case. I paid $12/box ($240 for the case) for it at a time when the boxes were trading for $16-$20 apiece. Great deal!
As you can see, picking great sealed cases to buy is not exactly my strong suit. I did have an awful lot of fun opening the Topps case though.
