Bar Code Scanner Recommendation

I'm wondering if anyone can provide a link to an ebay auction or online seller for a bar code reader that can read the PSA label bar code. I am primarily interested in using it as a means to detect a fraudulent label. Having been victimized a couple of times through both ebay and through an auction house, I am looking for an additional level of potential security. Thank you in advance for any assistance/thoughts.
Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all "right-thinking" people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.

This is known as “bad luck.”

Don't some Blackberry phones scan bar codes?

PC or Mac? I am pretty sure the iSight reads barcode -- but I don't have one.
  • There's an iPhone app too iirc.

Make sure you get a "laser" scanner and preferably USB connection to your PC and you should be all good. Even the cheapo Taiwan ones will do what you want. If you want better quality you can't go wrong with Symbol, Wasp, and PSC brands.

There are scanners that use and LCD to read the code called "CCD" but they aren't as fast or reliable as laser scanners. They'll be much cheaper though.
  • and honestly if you're going fake a flip the barcode would be easy enough to duplicate.
