Hmmm, can't wait to see the photos. Took me about 10 shots and I think I did OK but did not quite nail it. You are right though lighting is key.

I tried this once and never again. Folks holding the coin for three days or more just drags this on for way too long. Just my opinion which is not worth much.

Sometimes it not so much the folks holding it for more than three days as it is finding the next person to send it to. When I had it the destination changed at least three times before I finally sent it as the people it was going to were not ready or not around to receive it.

Nah....I was almost blind when I got it (torn cornea) and imaged it....now,now that my sight is mostly back, but I don't have the coin in hand, we shall see if the image is even close (easy to image, not easy to get right )
In order to come up with a winner there will be four groups to vote on. Each group will contain the finished images (obverse and reverse) of seven contestants. There will be separate voting on obverse and reverse images.
You will vote on your favorite obverse image and favorite reverse image from each group. The four group winners of the obverse image and the four group winners of the reverse image will be included in the finals.
The voting on the first four groups will run for one week. The final tally will include the votes from both NGC and PCGS message boards. The final group will also run one week. Contestants with the most votes for obverse and reverse images will each receive $100, although it is possible for one person to walk away with $200. No names will be used until the voting is over.
If anyone still has to send me their images, please PM me.

Actually it's been closer to 8 months. It was gone all of Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec and now in the middle of the 4th month this year. I know the coin looks the same, by the pics I've seen, but the slab looks like it was exposed to some heat. Looks like it will need to be re-slabbed. I'm definitely looking forward to getting it back.
