Most recent for me is a sub popping

Cracked out a 62 Joe Torre PSA 7 and got an 8 on it

WOW! great find / break... Was it in a old flip? How often do you go to a show or place to purchase cards with the intent of buy/crack/resub?

Mine was a sub pop as well - a psa 10 '87 fleer Kareem that I got in a raw lot - last one sold for $1,250...it will promptly hit ebay when i get it.
I just bought a bunch of modern 80's lots for the group sub...fingers crossed there's some good stuff there.
Looking for rare Randy Moss rookies and autos, as well as '97 PMG Red Football cards for my set.

lol, that water damaged vette you traded is ringing a bell on ebay. It's up to $4350 and I've been offered $5200 and $5000 to take it off of ebay. I only had $2000 in that awesome vintage set. So I'll say that is my best card deal so far in 2010.

Not sure if it was the old flip? I have to dig em up. I just got the cards back from PSA yesterday

ALWAYS on the look for undergraded/sharp raw! Mostly just luck running into them

I haven't done a lot of buying with a kid on the way and all.

I'd have to say my minty fresh near complete set of 88 Fleer basketball from board member burke23 has been my favorite purchase thus far.

I was able to pick up a 55 Topps Phil rizzuto. I needed it for my 1955 Topss Yankee team set and for my Phil Rizzuto collection. In addition to collecting al the Topps Yankee team sets from 1952-present I am trying to get every card made by all the Yankees who have had their number retired plus a few of my other Yankee favorites (Righetti, Gossage, and Winfield)

I traded a '64 set for an '85 Corvette a few weeks back and then in a thread totally unrelated, someone commented on how I didn't include that the car had a previous title that was listed with water damage. I explained, and was backed up by someone who actually knew something about the car business and Georgia title work, that the "water damage" could have been any number of things from having a seat recovered due to leaving the window down to being at the bottom of a lake. I have no way of knowing because it happened in 1997 and I've only owned the car for a few weeks. At any rate, apparently it was very minor because it was immediately taken off the title and it has had a clear title since 1997. Now, keep in mind, this information is all included in the autocheck right there on the listing for everyone to see, and several potential bidders have questioned me about it. I have no idea why they felt the need to try and demean me or my business, but I also don't really care. Someone who makes less in a year than I make in a month can call me a stupid car dealer all day.

My best deal so far this year has come from ebay. I won an auction for 30 graded football rookie cards. I paid $9.16 for the cards and 9.95 shipping for a grand total of $19.11 image

As you will see about half of these cards were graded by third world or worse grading companies. I may keep one of each grading company for the heck of it and crackout the others.

For less than $20 bucks delivered I was happy for just the PSA cards.

The following Rookie Cards were in the lot:

    1991 Pacific ~Herman Moore~ PSA 10
    2001 Pacific Dynagon ~David Terrell~ PSA 10
    2002 UD 'Making The Grade' ~Chad Hutchinson~ PSA 10 287/700
    2002 UD 'Making The Grade' ~Daniel Graham~ PSA 9286/700
    2002 UD 'Making The Grade' ~TJ Duckett~ PSA 9 443/700
    2002 UD 'Making The Grade' ~Josh McCown~ PSA 9 461/700
    2002 UD 'Making The Grade' ~Javon Walker~ PSA 9 502/700
    2001 Pacific Private Stock ~Quincy Morgan~ PSA 9 169/500
    2001 Pacific Private Stock ~Correll Buckhalter~ PSA 8 76/99
    1998 UD Black Diamond ~Ryan Leaf~ PSA 8

    2000 CE T3 ~Ron Dayne~ SGC 96
    2000 UD Graded ~Sammy Morris~ SGC 96 348/1325 (Blue Label)

    2005 Sage ~Carnell "Cadillac" Williams~ BGS 9.5
    2006 Score ~Laurence Maroney~ BGS 9

    2002 Score QBC Materials ~Aaron Brooks~ SCD "A"

    1995 Upper Deck ~Steve McNair~ BCCG 10
    2006 Press Pass 'Big Numbers" ~Matt Leinart~ BCCG 10
2005 Topps "Turn Back The Clock" ~Braylon Edwards~ BCCG 10
    2005 Score ~Jason Campbell~ BCCG 10

    1998 Upper Deck ~Tim Dwight~ CSA 9 (Blue Slab)

1999 Upper Deck "Quarterback Class" ~Donovan McNabb FGS 10
    2001 Press Pass ~Chris Chambers~ FGS 10

    It looks sweet.

I assume all your sales are final and no warranty is offered?? I sure would hate to be the one who buys that car only to later find there was water damage. You might want to put fencing around your car lot/pawn shop because someone is going to want to talk to you!!
I am on a budget and I am not afraid to use it!!

I got a giant framed display that showcases the autograph of award-winning actor Al Pacino. Framed to dimensions of 27-1/4 x 32-1/4" under black matting, five movie stills from the 1983 production of "Scarface" are symmetrically arranged, with the centered color print signed by Pacino in black Sharpie ("9" strength). PSA/DNA basic cert and hologram accompany. I paid the price of framing for the entire piece! I have it sitting in a box in the basement....nowhere to ut it until the home theater is done!

do you not read or do you simply not comprehend what you do read? The "water damage" is clearly listed in the autocheck in the ebay listing for everyone to see. I'll State it again, THE TITLE IS CLEAR AND HAS BEEN SINCE 1997. Apparently the owner went through the state and had the claim removed because it was a minor incident as they would not remove it if it was anything requireing a salvage title. I've already had 2 people from out of town come and inspect the car as well as a lot of others call about it and make offers to take it off of ebay. ALL OF THEM asked about the title and apparently understood what the hell "water damage" is as it pertains to a title and insurance claims can mean, unlike a lot of the clowns on this board. At any rate, I'm gonna pocket over 3K on this deal and I may go and spend it on hookers and blow, or baseball cards.
