selling collection question ...

I have decided to sell of the sports cards (except soccer and hockey).

Many of you have seen me post a few of my prize baseball, basketball and football cards. I am going to a small card show this weekend - with boxes and briefcases in hand.

I really do not want to have it picked through but realize that its not all for everyone.

As I have noted before, I do not belong to PSA or have graded cards. But my 100% feedback and reputation selling to members here is what I am counting on.

Any advice on how to sell of the collection ?

cheers

Offer it here first. You won't get top dollar at a card show.

I agree, do not bring it to a card show hoping to get a decent price.

Hard to give advice when we (I) have no idea what you have.

    Steve
    Good for you.
  • what I have is about 100 years of baseball

    - T205 golden border - including Cobb, Tinkers, Evers
    - T201 double folder - Walter Johnson, Fred Street

    - 1935-6 Diamond Stars - 4 hall of famers

    - T206 Orville Overall

    - 1951 Bowmans - Rizzuto, Gargiola, Roe, B. Thompson

    - 1956 Mantle, Koufax, T. Williams, Feller, Score (R), Irvin

    - 1967 Mays, Aaron, F. Robinson, Palmer, Aparicio

    - 1968 Ryan (R), Seaver, Carew, Aaron, - lots more

    - 1969 Aaron, Rose, Bench, Seaver, Jackson (R), - lots more

1970 to 1990 complete or near complete sets

    football:

    1970 to 1990

most rookies and at least one card of every hall of famer in those decades - Bradshaw, Staubach, Rice, Marino, Montana, Payton, Swann, Greene, Dorsett, White, Young,

Dickerson, Simms, Aikman, Sanders, E. Smith, Fouts, Anderson, Simpson, Riggins, Alzado, Long, Allen, Plunket, Manning ...

    basketball:

    1970 to 1974 - topps

and Jordans, Shaqs and Birds ...

I'm not selling here because most members here collect graded only. I've sold a few here in the past but I do not want to parcel it out 1 or 2 cards at a time - just off loading the whole thing.

    cheers
